Sheets can return from laundry and be reused. The forecast processes arrivals, checkouts and laundry jobs in time order, rather than subtracting total weekly demand from today's stock.
Shared pools are counted once. Dirty linen stays dirty until a laundry process makes a return plausible; projected returns remain separate from confirmed clean stock.

Six clean sheets can cover one arrival and still leave the next short.
Suppose two properties share one size of fitted sheet. You count six clean sheets on Monday; each property's next arrival needs four. A separate laundry job with four sheets is already washing and expected back on Tuesday morning. This example uses no safety reserve or preparation buffer, and neither stay checks out before the second arrival.

The next action is to confirm that return before relying on it. If it is delayed, arrange another eligible wash or more usable stock. Add your real reserve and preparation buffer in the forecast; they may bring the action deadline forward. This is a demonstration of the calculation, rather than a result from a customer property.
What the forecast knows—and what it doesn't
It uses your booking dates, property linen rules, inventory counts, laundry turnaround, availability days and recorded jobs. It does not predict how long an unrecorded wash will take or assume maximum occupancy for every stay.
Missing inventory is shown as incomplete data. Unknown guest counts remain unknown. An expected return does not become confirmed clean stock until you confirm it arrived. Recalculate after stock changes, cancellations or a new booking.
Can I import an Airbnb calendar?
You can upload an authorised iCal file or use the CSV template. Preview events before saving and confirm which entries represent guest stays. Re-import the same source to apply updates and cancellations. Private feed URLs and automatic synchronisation are not supported yet; recurring series need individual manual entries.
Airbnb's blocked-night guidance explains that availability settings and cancelled reservations can also block dates. Its calendar export guidance describes an iCal link, which is different from WashSage's reviewed file uploads. Check imported events against your reservation records before treating them as linen demand. WashSage is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Airbnb.
Can I share linen across properties?
Yes. Give the properties the same shared-pool name and record each physical item once. Category and size names must match. The forecast allocates that shared stock chronologically, so the same clean sheet cannot cover two overlapping stays.
Can I receive a weekly report?
Preview, copy or export a seven-day report today. You can save an optional day and time-zone preference for future weekly emails, or unsubscribe in the same screen. Automated sending is not configured.
How is this different from a par calculator?
A linen par calculator helps choose a standing stock policy. Linen Forecast asks whether the actual clean stock and laundry returns can cover dated arrivals. Use both: a stock target alone cannot confirm that today's sheets are ready.
Is Linen Forecast free, and do I need an account?
Linen Forecast is currently free and needs a verified account to save private property and booking records. The public linen stock calculator is free without registration. You can export saved Workspace data or delete your WashSage account from Settings. Read the privacy policy for the data each tool uses.
What if I don't know a guest count or current stock level?
Leave an unknown guest count blank and confirm the actual number when available. A guest-based linen rule stays unresolved until then. Add a physical stock count for each required linen category and size: missing inventory is reported as incomplete data, and is not treated as either zero stock or a promise that an arrival is covered.
