Permission comes from the item and the appliance
Read the finished care label and the manual for the exact appliance before acting on a result. Our tools bring the relevant checks together; they cannot inspect the product or approve a method that its maker prohibits. Manufacturer examples keep their product and regional scope.
Different measurements stay separate
Dry laundry mass and drum volume describe different things. We convert grams, kilograms, pounds and ounces using defined unit factors. We never convert cubic feet into an assumed kilogram capacity. Tog describes insulation; it is not a dry-weight or bulk measurement.
Duvet & comforter fit checker
Checks label permission, machine permission, measured dry weight against entered limits, and physical fit. Unknown checks remain unknown. Tog and drum volume are never converted to kg.
Laundry load weight calculator
Adds quantities multiplied by published example weights or your measured dry weights. The interval reflects available published ranges only; it is not a statistical confidence interval. Items without references need a custom weight.
Washing machine capacity advisor
UK household categories from Hotpoint are mapped to broad editorial shortlist bands. Australia uses local Samsung household guidance, with differences between its household bands and general categories recorded. US uses published Whirlpool volume categories with an editorial workload shortlist, not a kg conversion. Measured kg loads override household ranges.
Bedding size converter
Uses cited brand reference dimensions. Exact unit conversion is 1 inch = 2.54 cm. The nearest match minimises absolute width plus length differences without rotation; it is not interchangeable bedding. Missing regional flat-sheet data requires custom measurements.
Bedding drying planner
Evaluates permission for the selected drying method and free dryer movement. Provides filling-specific precautions and qualitative environment notes. There is no validated universal drying-time model, so no numerical time is invented.
Laundry running cost calculator
Entered electricity use times price per kWh, plus entered water use divided by 1,000 times its tariff. Optional dryer use is included for each wash. A year is 52 weeks. Starting values are editable assumptions, not appliance measurements. Water units remain separate.
Care label decoder
Matches descriptions to referenced instructions and prioritises prohibitions over permissions. Official care-symbol graphics are not reproduced. Professional-care letters remain instructions for a cleaner.
Stain & fabric finder
Selects a sourced stain route for washable colourfast cotton/polyester. Delicate, unknown, non-colourfast or dry-clean-only items require garment-specific or professional advice. No chemical mixture is recommended.
Detergent dose lookup
Returns published product and condition entries without linear scaling. Cap volumes, hardness adjustments and concentration equivalents are never invented. Unsupported products require their own package chart.
Fabric care library
Shows bounded references for named garment or sheet categories. General fibre advice cannot replace the finished label, dye, finish or trim instructions.
Linen stock and dated availability
The linen par calculator multiplies your bed or guest quantities by your chosen rotations, adds the spare allowance to each category and size, and rounds up to whole items. Its starting values are examples you can change; no universal stocking recommendation is inferred from the formula.
Linen Forecast instead processes saved arrivals, checkouts and laundry jobs in chronological order, using each property's time zone, preparation buffer, linen rules and reserve. Shared-pool stock is counted once. A stay can release only linen that could have been allocated to it; an unavailable sheet cannot become future dirty stock.
Confirmed availability uses recorded clean stock. The projected path adds eligible expected laundry returns, which remain unconfirmed until receipt. Missing guest counts and missing inventory stay unresolved. Recalculate after changing bookings or stock, and verify actual availability before preparing a property. The worked example on the forecast page demonstrates this distinction without claiming a customer result or measured prediction accuracy.
Reference data and uncertainty
Our data includes published examples, brand-specific dimensions and clearly labelled editorial mappings. Unsupported weights need user measurements. Some flat-sheet tables are brand-specific, so compare actual product dimensions. Fixed garment examples are not a statistical population range.
Conflicting guidance
Manufacturer articles can generalise differently from programme tables. If you find a conflict, consult the maker for your exact model. The fit checker has a conflicting-guidance option and will not resolve it by choosing the most convenient answer.
Editorial review and corrections
Automated checks exercise unit conversions, numerical boundaries, missing information, forecast timing and account permissions. Chrome browser checks cover tool journeys, saved records, imports, exports and phone-width layouts in both colour themes. These are software checks, not appliance, fabric-treatment or real-world laundry trials.
Performance is measured with repeatable Lighthouse navigation tests. Those are lab samples, not real-user Core Web Vitals or a guarantee for every connection. Fresh customer sign-in acceptance, external email delivery and calendar URL synchronisation are not represented as verified features by a successful page load.
The original 25 guides received search-intent and content updates on 16 October 2026, and ten new household and host guides were added with sources, examples and usable resources. Linen planning and forecast explanations were reviewed on 16 October 2026 against the implemented calculations. Some older references could not be fetched again; they are not represented as newly verified. WashSage is responsible for the editorial text. Worked examples are original arithmetic or decision scenarios, rather than reports of physical appliance testing. Changes to numerical records need their source, unit and scope checked, followed by calculator and browser verification. View the sources or download the records.
